These three sessions are for individuals new to Window based computers. They will give you computer skills and an understanding of the basic functions along with the usefulness of computers. The course will give you confidence to explore the potential of computing. The three sessions will be adapted to the needs and wishes of the participants. Please bring a Flash Drive (USB) to save your work.
Class 1: This session will identify and explain the working parts of the computer and how they function together. It will define the various functions within the windows start up screen and how to personalize your screen. We will explore what the mouse does and how it works. We will explore File Management and how to store and recall your files.
Class 2: This session will review the mouse and file manager. We will navigate the internet and create and save personal favourites. Strategies will be suggested for organizing and managing Website URLs. Youtube will be introduced.
Class 3: The first two sessions will be reviewed and expanded upon. The main focus of this session will be email. We will set up a gmail account, send and receive email. How to manage your email folders will also be covered.

Withdrawals, Transfers & Refunds: To withdraw from a class for a refund: • More than 7 days notification – full refund • Less than 7 days notification – credit voucher less 25% After class begins – no refund or credit Refunds may take up to four weeks to process. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance. Classes will not be canceled due to severe weather.
