Jan. 4 is National Ribbon Skirt Day, a day where Indigenous women across the country are encouraged to wear their traditional regalia to celebrate their culture, their strength and their connection as women. This workshop is for anyone who would like to make their own ribbon skirt, learn about the meaning behind them and when they should be worn.
Requirements: sewing machine and ability to sew and run your machine, 2 meters of fabric (up to size 16 ladies), 2 meters of each colour of 1.5 inch ribbon. More instructions will be given about supplies once we have the class ready to run with enough students.
