This is a skills building class and therefore there is no set project. You must know how to cast-on, knit, purl, and cast-off, as these skills will not be taught in this class.
Join Sarah to work on the following:
Lesson 1: What the heck is gauge and swatching and why is this important. Tools required: size US8 (5mm) needles, yarn, tape measure
Lesson 2: My stitch count is wrong, what now? And, I knit the wrong stitch, how do I correct it? Tools required: size US8 (5mm) needles, yarn, crochet hook (if you have one)
Lesson 3: Basic Cables, they aren’t so scary. Tools required: size US8 (5mm) needles, yarn, cable needle
Lesson 4: Basic Colourwork and how to read a chart for knitting flat. Tools required: straight needles and two different colours of yarn.
Lesson 5: Basic Colourwork and how to read a chart for knitting in the round. Tools required: circular needles (16” length maximum) and two different colours of yarn.
Lesson 6: Let me help you with your current project and/or answer any burning questions.
